I am in the process of starting to pastor a small church in a rural town in Central Illinois. After years of serving on the staff of mid-sized churches, and in the para-church ministry of Young Life, I’m embarking in this new venture of being a part-time interim solo pastor.
In many ways, it’s very strange for me having served most of my ministry career with volunteer staffs that are larger than the group of people who are attending at Goodfield.
It’s also an interesting journey as I’m doing this part-time while still maintaining my full-time job as a high school counselor at The Baby Fold’s Hammitt Jr./Sr. High School.
I’m not sure what all I will post on this site, but I will be posting my weekly sermons here so that people can read them, and hopefully, they will be helpful for you. I know that I’ve really benefited from others who have posted their messages and my wish is that I’ll be able to help others. Also, if you’re part of Goodfield Baptist, you will be able to read the sermons if you’re not able to make it to church a particular week.
